The teams from Lowveld Rugby Academy (LRA) enjoyed a great day out at Mankele Adventures last weekend as they welcomed some teams from Harlequins and Middelburg Youth Rugby Club (Kwaggas) for a series of matches.

The youngsters competed across a variety of age groups, from as young as seven right up to 12. The LRA sides feature young rugby stars from all over the Lowveld, and they offer a great way for the kids to stay in shape and keep playing rugby when it’s not their usual rugby season at school.

Altogether eight matches were played on Saturday. LRA managed to win six of them to enjoy a seriously good day of rugby.

• U7: LRA 30-10 Kwaggas
• U8: LRA 17-7 Kwaggas
• U9: LRA 20-5 Kwaggas
• U10: LRA 0-26 Kwaggas
• U11/U12: LRA 0-12 Harlequins
• U11/U12: LRA 40-7 Kwaggas
• U12: LRA 33-7 Kwaggas
• U12: LRA 19-5 Harlequins.
