Breaking News – (Video): Municipal workers go on rampage

Observer journalists were threatened by municipal workers during a strike today (Friday) at the Steve Tshwete Municipality storage facility.

“If you dare take photos or write something in your newspaper you will get what’s coming to you! We know where you live,” yelled one of the protesters.

Municipal workers at the facility embarked on an illegal strike and held senior municipal workers hostage.

The protesters burnt tyres and turned over dustbins.

The police (POP) monitored the scene and no injuries were reported.
