Clinic hosts successful campaign

Schoonbee Landgoed’s HalleluYah Clinic in Groblersdal hosted an event to inform the farming community about breast cancer.

With Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns being rolled out throughout the country this month, the HalleluYah Clinic on the Schoonbee Landgoed Farm, located along the N11 outside Groblersdal, organised an event yesterday (October 15) to impart knowledge to the farming community.

Sister Manyaku Mokobake shared that she was impressed with the participation of the community, representatives from the financial sector and the Department of Employment and Labour in this year’s drive.

Mokobake said the turnout surpassed that of previous gatherings held over the past six years.

“This shows that more people are receiving messages about breast cancer, and they intend to take action to ensure their individual well-being. We are satisfied that the information we share through the drive is gradually reaching more residents,” expressed Mokobake.

Mokobake thanked all stakeholders who played a role in ensuring the success of the initiative. She further announced plans to embark on a Men’s Health Awareness campaign next month.

“Through next month’s programme, we will be targeting taxi ranks within the area,” she concluded.
