Business Expo to boost local economy in Mogoroane

Mayor Merah Mahlase will deliver the keynote address at the Business Expo in Mogoroane Village to empower entrepreneurs.

Representatives of Makhuduthamaga Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises are expected to converge at Boeketlong Lodge in Mogoroane Village today (Wednesday) to partake in a session that will offer them an opportunity to network with leading business brands, access support services, and explore new ventures.

Thomas Mashabela, the spokesperson for Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality, said that the National Youth Development, Limpopo Economic Development, Small Enterprise Development, and Finance agencies, as well as the Sekhukhune District Municipality, Limpopo Treasury, and the Fetakgomo Tubatse Special Economic Zone, will form part of the key role players offering business management support to the participating entrepreneurs.

Mashabela stated that the event will feature exhibitions, commission discussions, and skills empowerment sessions.

Mayor Merah Mahlase, who will lead the Business Expo, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the gathering.

The expo aims to unlock opportunities for local entrepreneurs and drive inclusive economic growth.

It will be held under the theme ‘Revitalising the Local Economy through Inclusivity, Partnerships, and Innovation’.

“The municipality is prioritising economic revitalisation and rolling out programmes that strengthen its local economic development ambitions. For the first time, local businesses will engage directly with government, national brands, and development agencies in a single platform,” Mashabela highlighted.
