Drug crackdown leads to Marble Hall arrest

The man is expected to appear in the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court today.

A 29-year-old man was arrested for possessing dagga following an intelligence-driven operation in Marble Hall on Tuesday evening.

Police acted on information about a suspect allegedly in possession of drugs at a local apartment, leading to his arrest during a targeted crackdown in the area.

According to Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, officers confiscated 38kg of dagga and 34 individual units, with an estimated street value of R15 000.

“The suspect was arrested and charged with possessing dagga,” said Mashaba.

Various small packages, including colorful paper bundles and clear plastic bags with green herbs, are scattered on a dark speckled surface.
