New water solutions on the way for Lukau communities

Lukau’s water situation remains a priority as officials work towards improved service delivery.

Residents of Lukau and surrounding communities could soon see further improvements in water access following new plans aimed at addressing ongoing water challenges in the area.

The Sekhukhune District Municipality recently engaged with community members to discuss concerns around water supply and possible solutions to support residents across several areas in Ward 12.

The municipality said additional infrastructure forms part of short- to medium-term interventions, while longer-term projects continue to be explored to provide more sustainable water solutions.

Residents welcomed the developments, with officials also highlighting the importance of protecting public infrastructure and ensuring that services benefit the entire community.
