Renault Koleos subtly upgraded
Despite unveiling the updated Koleos last week, Renault South Africa has opted, for now, to continue with the pre-facelift model that debuted in February this year, albeit now with some spec upgrades.
On the entry-level Expression, buyers can optionally specify electrically adjustable leather front seats priced at R12 000, while the flagship Dynamique now comes as standard with a hands-free electric tailgate and an electronic handbrake in place of the much lamented foot brake.
Unlike the facelift model, Renault South Africa has kept the Koleos unchanged underneath the bonnet where the 2.5-litre petrol engine again produces 126kW/233Nm, teamed to a CVT with the Dynamique having the option of alliance partner Nissan’s All Mode 4×4-i system with three modes; 2WD, 4WD Auto and 4WD Lock.
A five-year/150 000 km warranty and five-year/ 90 000 km service plan is again standard on all models.
