Perel completed a title triple as he added to the 2017 AM Class Sprint and Overall championships he had clinched earlier in the season.

South Africa’s David Perel completed a clean sweep of 2017 Blancpain GT championship wins when he tied up the AM Class Endurance Cup with a Kessel Ferrari at Barcelona last weekend.

In so doing, Perel completed a title triple as he added to the 2017 AM Class Sprint and Overall championships he had clinched earlier in the season.

Perel, plus team-mates Jacques Duyver and Marco Zanuttini merely had to cross the finish line in the race to clinch the title, but they managed to grab an AM class podium in the process. “I could not have dreamt of a more incredible year,” Perel said.

“We won our class in all the big races and I won every AM Class Championship I competed in. “It is an incredible feeling and I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this possible.”
