Region E includes Alexandra and Sandton which is an important economic hub in Joburg
Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero led the “high service delivery operation” in region E, Ward 91 (Wynberg Precinct) on Tuesday, 21 October 2025.
Morero worked on the operation alongside MMC for housing Mlungisi Mabaso and MMC of development planning in Johannesburg Eunice Mgcina.
The service delivery programme is being implemented across all seven regions of Johannesburg. The operation aims to tackle service delivery backlogs, enhance infrastructure maintenance and enforce by-laws in hotspot areas.
“We are dealing with issues of by-law enforcement, dealing with issues of blockages and also clamping down on criminal activities and illegal activities that are happening here. We are also dealing with illegal operations in the region as well,” said Mabaso.
Region E includes Alexandra and Sandton, which is an important economic hub and has been targeted for intervention to revitalise the Wynberg industrial precinct.
