Police hunt suspects after fatal Joburg shooting of alleged gang leader
Alleged Fast Guns gang leader Kenny Morgan was killed in a suspected targeted hit on the N1 off-ramp near Northcliff.
More details have emerged about the shooting on the 14th Avenue off-ramp from the N1 South near Northcliff, Johannesburg.
Roodepoort Record reports that Kenny Morgan, the alleged leader of the Fast Guns gang, was gunned down in a suspected targeted hit on Wednesday evening.
According to police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, the 56-year-old was fatally shot after a BMW 1 Series with two occupants approached his vehicle and opened fire. The suspects fled the scene, and Morgan was declared dead when authorities arrived.
Morgan was reportedly travelling with another man when their vehicle came under heavy gunfire. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, and it remains unclear whether the second occupant was injured.
A case of murder has been opened by the Fairland police in Randburg. No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
