Dramatic video footage on social media shows the moment an Impala aeroplane crashed at the West Coast Airshow, held at the Saldana Airfield today.

Details behind the fatal crash is unclear at this stage.

Update: Civil Aviation Authority investigating West Coast Airshow crash

On social media, Daleen van Sittert whose family is attending the airshow, said it is ‘deathly silent’ at the moment.

Caxton Local Media has reached out to several role players for comment and an update will follow as soon as comment is received.
