Relive the thrill of classic Le Mans racing at Le Mans Classic
The Le Mans Classic, the world's largest retro race, takes place from June 29 to July 2.

South African racing legends, Jaki Scheckter, Paolo Cavalieri and Maurizio Bianco will join over 1 000 drivers on the historic Circuit de la Sarthe in France.
The event will host cars spanning from 1923 to 1981, including the thrilling participation of the PCR team with their 1971 Ferrari 365GTB/4 Group IV Competizione (Daytona).
The Le Mans Classic offers a unique racing format, harking back to the iconic Le Mans starts of the past. Scheckter explains that each grid/plateau race begins roughly every hour and consists of three sub-one-hour race sessions over the 24 hours. The team will head straight to qualifying to determine the grid for race 1.
While the challenge of piloting a 50-year-old car at speeds exceeding 250km/h without prior practice may seem daunting, Scheckter assures us that technology comes to the rescue. The drivers have been preparing for the event using a simulator at the Pablo Clark workshop. This advanced simulator, complete with a classic wooden Ferrari wheel and gated gearbox, allows them to replicate the experience of racing at Le Mans.

Cavalieri and Bianco will participate in a separate class with their 1964 Jaguar E-Type 3.8-liter straight-six. They will compete against other classic cars from the early ’60s, including the formidable Shelby Cobras and Ferrari’s sleek 250 LM, the last overall Le Man’s victor.
As Pablo Clark Racing aims to make a mark on the international racing scene, this event holds special significance during Le Mans’ centenary. With the Daytona prepared to take on competitors from GM, Corvette, Ford, Porsche and De Tomaso, the PCR team is set to dominate the GT class.
Don’t miss the thrilling 24-hour race, which is expected to attract 8 500 club cars and over 200 000 spectators. Keep an eye out for the PCR team as they strive for victory and celebrate the legacy of classic Le Mans racing.
