How many chickens are you allowed to keep in your home?

Do you know how many dogs people in suburban areas are allowed to have? “What, how?” you may ask.
Depending on where you reside, you may not be able to keep a specific number of animals at your place without having a permit.
Surprisingly, this also applies to chickens. Yes, chickens. An animal that you are unlikely to come across with at a household in a suburban area.

This is because people keep chickens on their property to either sell to the public or, what is more unlikely, to keep them as pets.
