Adele really knows how to hit us right in the feels.
After six years of silence, the queen of heartbreak finally dropped a new song, Easy on Me, along with a music video.
The 15-time Grammy award winner released a sneak peek of her new single last Tuesday and the world rejoiced, and stocked up on tissues.
Fans can look forward to more Adele music soon, as the singer announced that her new album, 30, will drop on 19 November. She took to social media to share with her more than 26 million followers that she started working on her new album almost three years ago.
“It was my ride or die throughout the most turbulent period of my life. When I was writing it, it was my friend who came over with a bottle of wine and a takeaway to cheer me up,” Adele wrote about her upcoming album.
In a statement, the British singer-songwriter said she learned a lot of blistering truths about herself while writing this new album.
“I’ve shed so many new layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”
The Wall Street Journal reports that Adele revealed during a Instagram Live last weekend that her new album is about divorce.
The Hello hitmaker filed for divorce in 2019 from businessman Simon Konecki and the divorce was finalised in March 2021. They have one child together.
