Shopping mall targeted by armed robbers

Shots were fired, but no one was injured.


Robbers were stopped in their tracks at Southcoast Mall during the early hours of this morning in KwaZulu-Natal, South Coast Herald reports.

Centre manager Jayne Munro confirmed that five armed suspects broke into Haskin Jewellers and Vodacom by breaking through the glass.

However, they managed to escape when security responded. Shots were fired, but no one was injured

Munro said they took the incident very seriously and were fully cooperating with police.

“We would also like to thank security for their quick response,” she added.
