The clash between residents and the police comes after a child was kidnapped.
Motorists have had to find alternative routes around the Makause informal settlement in Ekurhuleni, as police have closed off Pretoria Road today (Monday), Germiston City News reports.
It is reported that residents have clashed with police over the kidnapping of a child.
