Motorists advised to avoid Hammarsdale blasting operation
While the blasting is scheduled for today, the date may change depending on the weather conditions.

Motorists are urged to take note that there will be a blasting operation at the Hammarsdale Interchange on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday at about 3pm, reports the Highway Mail.
Both carriageways of the N3 between the Cato Ridge and Peacevale Interchanges will be closed between 3pm and 4pm.
However, the blasting date may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions.
Traffic will be diverted on to the R103 at the Shongweni and Cato Ridge interchanges.
Meadway Road will be closed due its proximity to the blast site. Traffic on Meadway Road will be diverted via Thousand Hills Drive.
