WATCH: Caregiver beats, kicks child at Joburg special needs crèche

An upsetting video of a caregiver of a crèche based in Jukskei Park has caused an uproar as it shows her beating a special needs toddler.

A video has gone viral of a caregiver beating a special needs child with a school bag and kicking her on the head, reports Randburg Sun.

The video, which is reported to have been taken at a crèche in Jukskei Park, has two scenes.

The first scene opens with the viewer seeing the child lying on the floor with their pants off and the caregiver shouting at her in a vernacular language in the distance as she walks towards the child.

It can only be assumed that the child, a little girl, had soiled herself and that was what angered the caregiver.

After the caregiver hits the little girl with a school bag and kicks her, she continues to berate her, calling her stupid and angrily telling the girl she is just acting stupid and knows exactly what she did wrong.

In the second scene, which seems to be shot more discreetly by the person filming, you see the caregiver with the same little girl as she cleans her.

Her annoyance at the little girl is also coupled with her hitting her on the head.

The name of the crèche and when the incident occurred are still unclear.
