Taxi crashes into cars at Mam’ Winnie’s house
Nine people were injured. Traffic officials said the driver of the minibus taxi was tested for alcohol.

Nine passengers were critically injured last night after a minibus taxi crashed into vehicles parked around the home of late anti-apartheid struggle icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in Orlando, Soweto.
Since her passing, scores of political, church and community leaders, and members of the public have gathered outside her house in Soweto to pay their respects.
Traffic officials confirmed the accident and said the taxi crashed into the vehicles outside the home of Madikizela-Mandela’s house at around 7.30pm, critically injuring nine passengers and damaging several vehicles.
Traffic officials said the driver was tested for alcohol and the result was a 0% reading. According to the police, a case has been opened.
The location has been a hive of activity, with reports of gunshots fired outside her house and even that a dead body was found. Police Minister Bheki Cele confirmed that guns had been discharged illegally outside her home but denied that anyone had found a body.
