Bathabile Dlamini abruptly terminates contract of special adviser

Shezi, together with former director-general Zane Dangor, were influential in pushing for the grants agency to take over from CPS.
The details of this were contained in an explosive affidavit by Dangor in which he responded to the Constitutional Court.
“I would not really insist on her giving reasons … In terms of the contract‚ at any given time the parties can decide to terminate the contract without notice‚” he said. “So I have respected that process,” he told Times LIVE.
According to News24, Dangor’s explosive affidavit revealed Dlamini bypassed officials from the department and essentially contributed to the creation of a crisis that would ensure Cash Paymaster Services (CPS) would continue managing and distributing social grants payments on behalf of the department.
Dangor alleges Dlamini created a “parallel structure where so-called work streams” were led by executives other than those from the department.
These officials allegedly advised the minister on the best way to obey a 2014 Constitutional Court ruling that declared the CPS contract constitutionally invalid and ordered the department to find a new distributor for the social grants.
