Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema emphasised that the Reserve Bank should be nationalised during his speech at the party’s fourth birthday celebration rally at Curries Fountain in Durban on Saturday afternoon.
He claimed: “Companies are stealing money and taking it outside.”
#Malema; EFF leads through superior logic. Companies are stealing money & taking it outside. Reserve Bank should be nationalized! #EFFTurns4

He, however, warned that the Reserve Bank would need to run autonomously if it was nationalised.
#Malema: if Reserve Bank is not run autonomously when nationalized then we will become like Zimbabwe whose money has no value. #EFFTurns4

On the topic of land, Malema said: “Thousands of our people have a place to call home today because of the EFF. We give them land and we are not in government.”
He described how in his ward in Seshego, they “occupied land” and the owner decided to share the land. He further stated that the land should be named in the name of “revolution”.
#Malema: in my ward in Seshego we occupied land, the owner came back and asked that we share. He listened to us! #EFFTurns4

#Malema: don't name the land we give you after us. Name it after the revolution! Don't rely on individuals! Individuals sell out! #EFFTurns4
