EFF’s Ndlozi mocked for being Malema’s ‘waterboy’

By Citizen Reporter

One of the more bizarre talking points from the EFF’s sixth birthday celebrations in Mpumalanga over the weekend was in the reaction to videos of EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi apparently carrying out errands for EFF leader Julius Malema.

It struck both supporters and critics of the party, with many pointing out that Ndlozi has a doctorate in politics and is technically more qualified than Malema, who has an honours degree.

Ndlozi found himself being labelled a “waterboy” and an “ice boy” as a result.

The “debate” divided social media, with many seeing it as opportunity to mock the EFF and its spokesperson. However, others pointed out that there was nothing wrong with Ndlozi being keen to tend to his leader’s needs. Still others pointed out that Ndlozi was still earning far more as a parliamentarian than almost everyone poking fun at him.

For his part, Malema told Ndlozi publicly over the weekend: “Mbuyiseni, I heard them there in parliament calling you an ice boy who is sent to get ice for leaders. You must never be shaken by names. Embrace every name they call you because [if] they cannot falter you politically they start searching in dustbins,” said Malema.

Take a look for yourself.
