Ghaleb Cachalia ticked off by ‘shoes for votes’ at DA Gauteng conference

By Gosebo Mathope

Ghaleb Cachalia, the DA candidate for provincial leadership at this weekend’s Gauteng elective conference currently underway at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, has alleged that candidates have been enticed shoes with shoes to vote for his opponent.

Cachalia is up against DA Gauteng leader incumbent and member of provincial legislature (MPL), John Moodey. In a Facebook this afternoon, Cachalia wrote “Shoes being doled out as gifts while voting is still being carried out!”

This was followed up by another post in which he asked “what is our party (DA) coming to”?

The conference continues.
