Brothers ‘inseparable to the end’

Reports suggest the brothers were driving back home with two female friends when the fatal accident occurred.

Two victims of the horrific Sunday morning crash that claimed four lives have been identified as loving and inseparable brothers from eSikhaleni, KwaZulu-Natal, Zululand Observer reports.

The lives of Sifiso Prince Manqele (32) and younger sibling Kwazi Mthokozisi Manqele (22) were lost when their VW Golf collided with a truck near eSikhaleni Cemetery.

Community surrounded by grief

With the two brothers known as a caring pair within the tight-knit J1 Section in eSikhaleni, sorrow continues to engulf the community.

On Wednesday, close friend Sdingo Zulu said that they are grappling to come to terms with the tragic loss.

“No words can be adequate to convey the loss we feel. They both had good hearts and loved their family and friends. They played huge roles in our lives and they will be dearly missed,” he said.

Neighbour and relative Mbali Zulu described the siblings as respectful and helpful within the community.

“They were always together, that’s how much they loved each other. They would drop anything to assist us as neighbours – just two young boys who had a positive contribution to our society,” she said.

“It is a great loss that they both died at the same time, just as they had always spent time together.

“Everyone has been greatly affected and we send our heartfelt condolences to their parents who have to face the sad reality of losing two children at the same time,” said Zulu.

The community will unite this afternoon to remember the lives of Sfiso and Kwazi in a memorial service.

The identities of the two female occupants who also perished in the accident are still unknown.
