Kempton Park march to lower staple food prices ends peacefully
The marchers, who were protesting basic food prices, were escorted by a huge contingent of metro police, police and other security vehicles.

The Glen Marika marchers have returned to Dann Road, after marching to three of the four shopping centres they intended to, Kempton Express reports. The march was peaceful, and no property damage was reported.

Security at Glen Balad Mall was prominent, with the presence of metro police, police, K9 units and various security agencies. According to security at Glen Balad Mall, the marchers were not allowed into the centre, as there was an interdict against them.
Metro police vehicles were also spotted at Glen Acres Shopping Centre.
Before entering the parking area at Glen Acres, they had been warned by the EFF’s Isaac Mampana not to damage vehicles on the premises.
The marchers then approached Cavendish Glen Shopping Centre, who cordoned off an area for the protest.
Andreas Stephanou accepted the memorandum on behalf of Spar. The marchers then travelled to Woodbridge Square, who also cordoned off an area for protest action. They then proceeded to Cavendish Glen Shopping Centre.
