ANC campaign video model caught up in cheating scandal

By Citizen Reporter

The model who caused an uproar on social media after *voguing her way through an election campaign video for the African National Congress (ANC) has been named in a cheating scandal with an ANC member.

*Vogue (verb). Present participle: voguing.
To dance to music in such a way as to imitate the characteristic poses struck by a model on a catwalk.

Rethabile Lethoko first made headlines after her campaign video for the ANC raised a few eyebrows.

In the video, Lethoko can be heard introducing herself and the work she has done before sharing how she thinks the ANC can improve.

“I’ve been on Satiskin, I’ve been on the cover of the Edgars magazine, I’ve been in stores, like when you walk into a store, you pretty much see my face there sometimes,” said Lethoko.

She went on to add that she thought the government should try to reinforce policies, “if they haven’t done so already”, in addition to dealing with the high unemployment rate and improving “social security”.

After the video was published, social media users said Lethoko sounded like she was advertising Lux or Avon products before demanding that the ANC’s head of elections Fikile Mbalula ensure that the video was taken down.

Daily Sun reports that Lethoko has been dating ANC member and businessman Lunga Ncwana for the past two years and that the pair are ready to get married soon.

There’s just one problem standing in their way, Lunga’s wife and the mother of his two children Rosette Ncwana, who is also a model.

The publication also alleges that the businessman used his connections in the ANC to snag her that campaign video and that Lethoko and Ncwana recently had a fight on set during a modelling gig after Ncwana rifled through Lethoko’s belongings and found the keys to the Melrose Arch home that she shared with her husband.

All parties involved have declined to comment on the story.
