Two suspects from the Seven Angels Ministries church outside eNgcobo, in the Eastern Cape, are expected to appear in the Mzimkhulu Magistrates’ Court facing two counts of murder.
The SABC reports the two are charged with the murder of Ndumiso Jali and his wife, Nomaindiya, who were members of the controversial church.
The Jalis were allegedly murdered in their home earlier this year, and the breakthrough in the murder case occurred during police investigations into the eNgcobo Police Station attack.

Some members of the ministry had been implicated in the attack at the police station. It is alleged the attackers made off with a large sum of money.
Police investigations led to the church premises a few days after the attack last month, and some suspected attackers, including some of the church leaders, were gunned during an exchange of fire between the suspects and the police.
The police discovered there were links between the Jalis and the leaders of the church, the Mancobas.
One of the leaders of the church is due to appear in the eNgcobo Magistrates’ Court on allegations of sexual crimes that took place at the church.
