The ANC top six are expected to meet Limpopo officials after two members of the ANC were implicated in a report released by the Reserve Bank on the VBS looting scandal.

The ANC’s Limpopo premier and chairperson of the provincial ANC, Stan Mathabata, will look into Limpopo Vhembe district municipality mayor Florence Radzilani and Limpopo treasurer Danny Msiza’s alleged involvement with the bank, after a report by advocate Terry Motau and law firm Werksmanns Attorneys fingered the two officials.

ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe reportedly said the ANC’s top six would meet to discuss the implications as the leaders wanted to hear their members’ side of the story.

The leaders will hear reasons from the accused before providing a way forward.

Msiza, reported to be the fixer in the VBS ‘heist’, is challenging the outcomes of the report. He is demanding a retraction of the allegations that he took part in the R2 billion graft.

He is demanding an apology and a retraction as he claims he was never given the opportunity to refute the claims..

He has been implicated as a ‘fixer’ who had a role in ensuring municipalities made illegal deposits with the bank.

Mathabata has also instituted his own investigations in the province in an effort get to the bottom of the allegations.

Fifty-three individuals including Msiza, Radzilani and Brian Shivambu have been implicated in Motau’s report titled The Great Bank Heist. Shivambu is a brother of EFF deputy commander Floyd Shivambu.
