WATCH: Man threatens to ‘klap’ woman at Spur restaurant

By Citizen Reporter

A disturbing video of a white man threatening to attack a black woman with violence in front of children‚ patrons and staff inside a Spur restaurant at the Glen Shopping Centre in Johannesburg, has gone viral on social media.

It is alleged that the man had approached the woman to inform her that her child was bullying his child but the woman told the man his child was the one who started the bullying.

The heated exchange between the two parents then turned ugly when the man threatened to “klap” the woman while she protested that he was harassing her as well.

South Africans were outraged over the incident on Human Rights Day taking to social media to express shock and disappointment.

Spur has issued a statement through its social media accounts saying the man is no longer welcome at its restaurants nationally.

“We do not condone any form of violence against women or children, irrespective of the circumstances,” the restaurant said.
