Mchunu to assess water provision and sanitation in Limpopo
The visit would entail discussions on matters of governance, implementation, service delivery and finance.

Minister of Water and Sanitation Senzo Mchunu will spend Tuesday to Thursday in Limpopo with his team assessing water provision and sanitation.
He will be accompanied by his deputies, David Mahlobo and Dikeledi Magadzi.
During the visit, the minister will meet the Limpopo provincial government led by premier Stanley Mathabatha, representatives from local government, water boards, water and sanitation, the provincial government leadership and various stakeholders.
Departmental spokesperson Sputnik Ratau said the visit would entail discussions on matters of governance, implementation, service delivery and finance.

“The minister will also interact with the provincial water and sanitation management on challenges related to water and sanitation delivery in Limpopo, as well as Lepelle and Magalies water boards on challenges they encounter in delivering water projects in their areas of operation,” said Ratau.
Tomorrow, the delegation will go to the Mopani region to survey progress made on the beleaguered Giyani pipeline.
Last week, President Cyril Ramaphosa said water was the most important commodity needed to accelerate development through agriculture, mining and tourism.
Ramaphosa said government was making huge strides in the turnaround time for the issuing of water licences.
