SA Weather forecasts fine and cool weather for Sunday

The cold front which enveloped parts of country is beginning to dissipate.


The cold front which enveloped parts of country is beginning to dissipate with warmer temperatures and weather recorded across most parts of the country.

The South African Weather Service (Saws) has also not issued any weather warning for Sunday.

However, the weather is likely to get colder when winter finally arrives.

Gauteng

Gauteng will experience morning frost in the south and central parts, otherwise fine and cool weather.

Mpumalanga

Fine and cool, but warm in places in the Lowveld.

Limpopo

Saws said Limpopo will by partly cloudy and cool.

North West

The North West will be fine and cool.

Free State

Residents can anticipate fine and cool to cold weather.

Northern Cape

Fine, windy and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be light and variable, becoming light to moderate southerly to south-easterly.

Western Cape

Morning fog over the south coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm, but hot over Cederberg municipality. It will become partly cloudy from the afternoon in the south-west coast spreading to the south by the evening.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly-westerly to westerly. It will become light to moderate southerly along the west coast in the afternoon, spreading to the south-west coast from the evening.

Western half of the Eastern Cape:

Fine and cool to warm weather. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-westerly, becoming westerly in the afternoon.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape

Fine and cool to warm, but cold in the extreme north.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northwesterly, becoming north-easterly in the afternoon, but north-westerly again by late evening.

KwaZulu-Natal

Morning fog patches in places over the northern interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northwesterly north of Richards Bay in the morning, otherwise fresh to strong northerly to north-easterly, becoming light to moderate along the south coast from the evening.
