Trance legend in SA for one night only

Trance DJ Armin van Buuren has announced the destinations for his upcoming world tour, and he will be heading to South Africa in June for a once-off performance in Johannesburg.

The famous producer and DJ will be jetting off to Amsterdam in only a few weeks, where he will kick-off his sold-out ‘Armin Only Intense’ world tour. The concept for this distinctive upcoming world tour was inspired by Van Buurin’s new album, ‘Intense’, for which he drew on multitude of genres.

He is quoted by Media Update as saying of the new album: “It contains cross-overs from progressive to trance and from classical music to rock.

“I am a perfectionist and some of these tracks have taken me months to finish them. I wanted each and every one of those tracks to be perfect. I have incorporated as many ‘real’ instruments as possible, such as a live orchestra and sounds of the rock band of my brother Eller.

“It has been a true honour and inspiration to work with such talented artists, singers and songwriters. It has been and intense process but I am very pleased with the result.”

Van Buuren will be at the Johannesburg Coca-Cola Dome on Saturday, 14 June 2014.
