WATCH: Cape Town school on fire, learners evacuated

Firefighters in Cape Town are working to extinguish a blaze at Holy Cross Primary School in Zonnebloem.


Holy Cross Primary School in Zonnebloem, Cape Town, caught fire on Thursday and has been evacuated.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

No injuries or deaths have been reported. The damage to the school’s structure is believed to be severe.

The City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services are reportedly on the scene.

Fire and Rescue services spokesperson Theo Layne told News24 that eight fire engines and 27 fire fighters were dispatched to the scene.
