We are ‘helping’ Zuma inform people Ramaphosa is president – ANC’s Hlomuka

There are reported conflicts in some parts of KwaZulu-Natal rural areas where people believe Msholozi is still president.

ANC deputy president in KwaZulu-Natal, Sipho Hlomuka, reportedly embarked on a campaign to settle the confusion in some rural areas in the province on who the ANC president was between Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa.

Some people in the districts of King Bhambatha, Nquthu, and Msinga reportedly believed Zuma was still president.

Hlomula told Isolezwe: “Although not all rural areas think so but in those conflicts, we are busy helping Msholozi to tell people that Ramaphosa has become our current president. One thing we know is that the key to people as voting is not the president but the ANC.”

EWN recently posted a video of a crowd celebrating the former president at the ANC manifesto launch rally in KwaZulu-Natal, proving that the province was still his stronghold.

He later posted a video on Twitter thanking the crowd for showing him support when he was in the province to campaign for the ANC.

“I thought I should thank my supporters. Thank you for the support you have shown to me over a long period and in the recent past. Support when I go to appear in court, it has been tremendous.

“Thank you very much for that support, it means a lot to me. I know you’re always with me and I’m always with you. Also, the support you give to the social media, it is absolutely amazing and indeed humbling. Thank you very much indeed.

“Also the support you show me when I campaign as well as the support you showed me at the Moses Mabhida Stadium rally when the ANC was launching its manifesto,” he said.
