Eskom moves to Stage 4 loadshedding
Eskom will implement Stage 4 load shedding from 2pm on Friday to 6am on Saturday.
ESKOM has begun Stage 4 loadshedding as of 2pm on Friday afternoon.
The power utility said Stage 4 will continue until 6am on Saturday morning and is “likely” to continue during the weekend.
“With the incessant rain, we are beginning to experience coal-handling problems at a number of our power stations as a result of wet coal. This has led to generation units being unable to produce power. If the wet weather persists, we are likely to implement loadshedding throughout the weekend,” Eskom said in a statement.
Date: 06 December 2019
Stage 2 rotational loadshedding moves up to Stage 4 from 14:00 today.
