THE Durban & Coast SPCA is encouraging residents to make their 67 minutes count for animals in need this Mandela Day by walking along the beachfront.
The association has joined hands with the The Waffle Society to have a ‘paw’some walk along the beachfront in Ballito.
The walk takes place on Saturday, July 18, at 08:00 at The Waffle Society, 16 Compensation Beach Road, Ballito.

“Bring your furry best friend and enjoy a relaxed walk along the beachfront, all in support of the animals at the Durban & Coast SPCA. We’ll start and finish at The Waffle Society, where treats will be waiting for both humans and hounds,” said spokesperson for the SPCA, Tanya Fleischer.
On the day there will be a complimentary doggy biscuit for every dog and lucky draws and prizes.
There is a R30 donation per person and pet food donations are greatly appreciated, explained Fleischer.
The SPCA mascot Humphrey will also join in the fun.
There is also a chance to win a free woofle, waffle and coffee on the morning.
