Get fit and healthy for the holiday season with parkrun

Parkrun is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk

December is literally knocking at the door and that means summer holidays are here. Fortunately, there are still a few weeks left where you can join Vryheid parkrun to get in shape or prevent being out of breath when you play on the golden sands of the beach.
Here are the ingredients to the recipe of a healthier and fitter you:
What is Vryheid parkrun?
A free, fun and friendly weekly 5km community event where you can walk, jog, run volunteer or be a spectator – it’s up to you!
When is it?
Parkrun kicks off every Saturday at 07:00 from October to March, and 08:00 from April to September.
Where is it?
The event takes place at Vryheid Golf Club, 1 President Street, Vryheid.
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing – it’s free! But please register before you first come along. You only have to register with parkrun once and don’t forget to bring a scan-able copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won’t get a time.
How fast do I have to be?
We all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in, whatever your pace!
Vryheid parkrun needs you!
It is entirely organised by volunteers, so you can email: vryheid@parkrun.com to help.
Safeguarding:
Parkrun is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults at risk. For our full safeguarding processes and policies, including how to report a concern, please see our Safeguarding Hub.
We’re friendly! Every week, we grab a post parkrun coffee in the Vryheid Golf Club café, so please come and join us!
