THE STICKERS that seemed to sprout up overnight often advertising abortions seem to be slowly making their return on walls, refuse bins and lamp-posts all around town. These stickers which are stuck illegally on these surfaces seemed to have disappeared around August last year after Cllr Harry Heyns had taken initiative to warn the people who were conducting this act that it was illegal by sticking warning stickers. The stickers warn the public- no stickers here on municipal property and anyone who is caught doing so will be fined R1 000. The community is reminded that those who wish to advertise a product, service or event on municipality property such as streetlight poles, must have permission, must adhere to the by-laws as to where their posters can be displayed and must pay a prescribed fee. They must also remove the posters after a certain time.
