“We have complained to the municipality on numerous occasions about the conditions of Rocky Road and Alfred Street,” said a resident. The conditions of the roads and height of the grass in Rocky Road has led its homeowners to label it “the forgotten road.”
Gutters are covered in overgrown grass verges, making it difficult for drivers, as the grass is now growing on the road. Residents are concerned that it wouldn’t be safe for driving. The height of the grass in Rocky Road and Alfred Street has forced scholars to walk on the road.
A resident also requested that the streetlights in Rocky Road be repaired. As one of the lights flickers on and after a short while goes off. Residents do appreciate that the street recently had streetlights placed. The number of ditches in Alfred Street often causes traffic obstructions for drives. Residents are unhappy about this, as the ditches haven’t been filled after the construction of the road was completed last year.
