CJM hospital is a golden award winner

Hospital management and some of the staff were honoured to have been part of the celebration and were proud to make their way back home with a golden award and a floating trophy.

Celebrations were in the air at Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital after the Nquthu facility was crowned the golden winners at the MESEA (Provincial Hospital awards) in the national core standard category.
The awards were held in Durban at the International Convention Centre on May 15 under the theme ‘Hats off to service excellence.’ Hospital management and some of the staff were honoured to have been part of the celebration and were proud to make their way back home with a golden award and a floating trophy.
CJM received first position in the category, National Core Standards. That is in recognition of the progress made in the implementation of six priorities namely, the positive and caring attitude, facility cleanliness improved waiting time for patients, improved patients safety and security, infection prevention and control, availability of medicine and blood products.
JT Dlamini, CJM general orderly, was awarded a certificate of commendation and cash in the category for Best front line service delivery employee. These awards are aimed at motivating health care staff and its management to be’ responsible leaders that upholds ethical standards, by making certain that proper and decent health care is undertaken in a clean environment and care to rendered for all patients.’
