PREVIEW: Outrage sparks over exposed cable on Mackillican Road

Residents of Mackillican Road fear an exposed electrical cable poses an electrocution threat to unwary pedestrians.

An electrical cable on Mackillican Road has sparked fury from residents.

This cable was accidentally uprooted three months ago, yet remains exposed to the elements.

Residents, Dave Poole has since laid into the municipality for so-called inaction.

The saga began in early August, when conducted excavation work on Mackillican Road.

Poole said holes left by workers were never filled in.

“I’ve just had enough. It’s been three years: first the municipality dug up my paving and never repaired it, and now this.”

Pool’s questions were communicated to the municipality for urgent response.

A formal reply was given on Tuesday this week.
