PREVIEW: Are speedsters making Crawford Street unsafe?

Speedsters are using Crawford Street as a personal race track, much to the chagrin of residents and homeowners.

Crawford Street homeowners are fuming at speedsters cruising the neighbourhood.

Residents reported vehicular mayhem in the suburb had gotten out of hand.

One resident explained how severe these problems were.

“There is no control over weekends. People drink and make a racket, spin their tyres and speed recklessly along Crawford and Kemp Streets.”

He added music was played from vehicles loud enough that house windows rattled.

This was particularly prevalent over weekends or during the evening.

The municipality provided official response to complaints about Crawford Street.
