A burst water pipe flooded Azalea Drive early Friday morning (October 5).
Residents were left without water due to the burst pipe.
IFP councillor Abbas Warasally contacted uThukela early Friday morning to inform them about the leak.
“They told me they would send someone out, but they only fixed the pipe many hours later. Clean drinking water was wasted in the interim,” commented Cllr Warasally.
Water was restored to residents living in the affected area later in the day.
