Two homes flooded with sewage in Ladysmith

Their yards are now like swimming pools of stinking sewer water

Two homes in Nagpur Road have been flooded with raw effluent due to blocked manholes in their yards.

Residents from the homes say they have been reporting the problem for months on end, yet nothing has been done about it.

They added that the smell is so bad that they can’t even eat or breathe properly in their own homes.

A resident said that their yards are now like swimming pools of stinking sewer water.

The residents have contacted IFP councillor Abbas Warasally to assist in solving the problem.

Cllr Warasally says the entire area is blocked due to the sewer pumps that are not working near Matthew’s Farm.
