Teenager stabbed to death in Ladysmith CBD

It is believed that the teen sustained 1 stab wound to the chest

A teenager was stabbed to death on Monday evening (November 26) in Settlers Drive.

The motive for the stabbing is unknown at this stage.

It is believed that a group of teenagers were walking along the street when the attack occurred near the banks of the Klip River.

Residents of flats in Settlers Drive say that many children were in the area, drinking and partying at a nearby park, as the last matric exam paper was written on Monday.

Emergency personnel responded and the teen was declared dead at the scene.

Police and forensic staff also responded to the scene.

Traffic flow passed with caution while police and forensic services conducted their investigation.

It is believed that the teenager sustained one stab wound to the chest.

While police were at the scene, many people were seen walking past and drinking in public. The officers made sure that the alcohol was taken away and poured out.

Police are currently investigating a case of murder.
