Police need the community’s help in solving an attempted murder case after a man was allegedly set on fire on Sunday morning (December 2).
In the early hours of Sunday morning, police were called out to Alexandra Street, where they found a 64-year-old man with severe burn wounds to his upper body.
The man was being treated by paramedics and is presently in the intensive care unit at a local hospital.

It is believed that a flammable liquid was poured over the victim’s upper body and then set alight.
Further investigation and video footage shows that a vehicle stopped at the scene and soon sped off.
