Would a zombie make a good president?

A zombie doesn't know the difference between right and wrong.

They’re the latest craze, striking fear into many and excitement into the rest.
They are zombies, and through books, movies, series and even video games, they are taking over.
Zombies are mindless, reanimated corpses with a hunger for human flesh, and particularly for human brains.
Being undead, the only certain way to kill a zombie is to go for their heads.
Over the years people have been honing their skills, in case the Zombie Apocalypse does ever approach.
Some have even gone as far as assembling their very own zombie apocalypse survival kits.
In popular fan fiction, like Resident Evil, zombies have been used in ploys to gain world domination.
The plan is simple: infect a few people with a genetically engineered virus, create panic and then make outrageous demands in exchange for the cure. Sadly this doesn’t always go to plan.
Sometimes the zombies can’t be controlled and attack everyone in sight, and other times some hero with a big gun comes in and saves the day.
This begs the question: can zombies be use to wipe out members of parliament and all the ministers so that we can replace them with new ones? The answer is no, sadly.
Zombies are mindless and don’t have much purpose in life, but human brains do seem to get their attention.
Parliament equates to famine to zombies. It would be like a Somalia for zombies – hungry people everywhere.
How about getting rid of members of parliament and replacing them with zombies?
This sadly won’t work either.
A zombie doesn’t know the difference between right and wrong.
It won’t understand that it’s wrong to use taxpayer money for its own benefit.
A zombie won’t be able to read a speech prepared for it during the State of the Nation address.
A zombie won’t realise taking a shower won’t stop you from getting AIDS. And a zombie surely won’t know when upgrades are being done to its house, so he won’t be expected to pay for the newly-installed ‘fire pool’ and chicken coop.
Surely we wouldn’t want something so mindless running our country…?

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
