Team Spider Entertainment hosted the first annual disability concert at the Govan Mbeki Hall in Ikageng this Saturday, 6 April. This concert showcased disabled youth in a talent programme to prove that they are more differently abled than disabled as compared with the rest of society. There were singers, dancers, poets and musicians who all took part in this amazing talent show.

Performers included the Ikalafeng gumboots dancers, Ventersdop singers, S.P.N Phiri Power Girls, Skhanda Girls, Marimba Melodika and Ngaka ya Meropa.

Tebogo Moswetsi from Team Spider arranged the concert and the S.P.N Phiri Disability Group supported it.

According to Moswetsi, the goal of the concert is to enable disabled individuals and also to generate funds to help them. This concert will be hosted annually. The J.B. Marks Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, together with many local businesses and individuals from different business and government sectors, sponsored the concert. The local DJ, Lady Ginga, was the emcee for the day.
