Canine good citizens in Potchefstroom
The first Canine Good Citizen event in Potchefstroom was held on, 5 May, with 14 participants participating. The judge from KUSA was Yvonne Taentzer and 13 out of the 14 dogs were successful in passing the test.

The event was enjoyed by everyone and the owners and dogs showed their skills in performing the different levels to attain their Bronze certification.
They will now progress to the Silver and then Gold levels.
KUSA (Kennel Union of South Africa), Canine Good Citizen is a programme designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. This programme encourages and stresses the importance of responsible dog ownership by the owners.
Any dog, may they be, pure bred or crossbred, may participate in this programme.
This is a three part programme, comprising of Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
Dog owners that make the effort of training their dogs, will experience the benefits of their dog having good manners and responding well to regular routines.
