Climate Control say goodbye with final single
Ambitions, dreams and nostalgia forms part of the pre chorus, with an addictive chorus putting it all into perspective.

All good things must come to an end and for Johannesburg-based band, Climate Control, this signals their last hurrah in the form of their final single “Three Act Structure.”
The trio of Nic Gonzalez, Luca Zeeman and Ricky Dunningham released a series of singles in the past year and a half with “Three Act Structure” being the final piece in the series.
This song encompasses why the band made music together and the thrill of writing and composing their earliest material – hence it has come full circle for a band that has always worked extremely hard to be one of the best rock acts in South Africa.
The band has released two full albums – “Preludes” and “Equals Not” along with a whole host of singles. The band released a statement regarding their final single: ‘Three Act Structure’ is a song that we believe to be one of our best, and represents the years of creation, performance, and brotherhood that we’ve spent with one another since those early days of writing our first lyrics and riffs while imagining the feeling of playing them live one day.
While Climate Control may be, let’s say on indefinite hiatus for now, music will never leave any of us who make up the parts of its whole. It’s in our blood. Each of us will continue to create or work with music, and if you’ve enjoyed anything we’ve created over the years, we hope you continue on the next journey with us.

Their final track, “Three Act Structure” begins with an upbeat intro filled with electro and rock fusion creating the platform for Gonzalez to smoothly sing the lyrics: “Everything we wrote was faultless.
Consumed and courageous, staring up and on.” Ambitions, dreams and nostalgia forms part of the pre chorus, with an addictive chorus putting it all into perspective: “We’d settle for the sky, but we never needed more,” sings Gonzalez. The video also fits perfectly to the song with 3D effects and the band intertwining together with the soundtrack.
The electronic synth emphasis really ties the song together as a unit with crunching guitars and lead guitar parts in the chorus and bridge adding some volume to this already layered track.
The song also fades out slowly, which in my opinion is the perfect send off in conjunction with the video as each band member leaves their instruments for one final time as Climate Control.
